Niseko in Japan, is widely renowned as the second snowiest ski resort in the world (behind Mt Baker in Washington State, USA), reported its 09-10 season snowfall was, “a little above average” with a total of 18 metres (about 60 feet) of snow.
The resort is already planning ahead for the busiest part of its 2010-11 season – Chinese New Year 2011 when the resort gets booked up between January 29 and February 8th. The crucial dates are January 29th to February 8th 2011. There are more than 600 ski resorts in Japan and they are widely known for being uncrowded and with exceptional ski conditions.
