Solden is staging a special festival at the end of its very long season during the first weekend in May.
The Solden Glacier festival will run from May 1st to 4th and include testing of 2008-9 season ski equipment on the resort’s Rettenbach and Tiefenbach glaciers. There will be afternoon and evening music performances and other events including a waterslide contest.
Manfred Mann’s Earth Band’s will take center stage in the afternoon of May 3rd at the Rettenbach glacier performing hits including ‘Pretty Flamingo’ ‘The Mighty Quinn’, ‘Blinded By The Light’ and ‘Davy’s On The Road Again.’
