The controversial $2 billion Xanadu development in New Jersey, USA will not open until summer 2009 following the latest delay announcement to the long running development saga.
The massive retail and entertainment complex was to have opened this November but Xanadu President Larry Siegel said delaying the opening will help meet the timetables of the building’s tenants.
The complex includes a 65m high indoor snow centre, the first on the North American continent and a huge array of leisure and retail.
The delay means a $185 million rail link to the facility should be completed in time for the revised opening date.
