Expansion isn’t stopping at Revelstoke Mountain Resort in the Canadian Rockies. The newest darling of ski resorts in the world, is expanding its real estate base once again.
Construction is underway on the second phase of the Nelsen Lodge condominium hotel, which will reportedly feature 56 additional suites ranging from studio to four bedrooms, a new full service restaurant and lounge, retail and a new café.
The complex is located at the base of the biggest lift-served vertical in North America accessed in one gondola lift ride from the Lodge’s doorstep. It has also been the only slopeside lodging on the mountain since the first phase opened in March 2009.
In addition, MacKenzie Landing Estates at Revelstoke Mountain Resort saw its first private home completed in early spring, and numerous new homes are under construction this summer. New roads are also under construction in Monashee Estates, allowing for the first phase of home construction in the resort’s third real estate release.
The town of Revelstoke was predominantly a summer destination resort in recent decades, but the development of Revelstoke Mountain Resort has changed it in to a year round destination.
