This Saturday the annual Saas Fee Ride ski event on Switzerland’s Allalin Snow Park is expecting many of Europe’s top freeskiers to show, and all the publicity they’ll bring with them.
Every year skiers converge on the Saas-Fee glacier to show how good summer skiing on a Swiss alpine glacier can be.
Last year’s Saas-Fee Ride was seen across the globe with a 26-minute television program. It has just clocked up over 500 hours of television airtime and has given the 50+ athletes at the competition some much deserved publicity.
This year’s main discipline is Big Air, and there will also be a Rail Jam session for athletes to show their style for the TV crews.
Saas-Fee is considered an ideal location for the comp due to the north facing glacier, which keeps the snow in great condition and the safety standards high.
