Despite many ski companies struggling during the 2008/2009 season Mountain Heaven, which operates high quality chalets and apartments in three French and one Swiss resort, was able to announce a 110% increase in turnover.
“We believe that this increase was due to many factors including the fact that we are a family run company that knows all the properties and resorts we operate in intimately. We also have a wide range of quality on/near piste accommodation (both self-catered and catered holidays) and we offer a wide range of value adding services such as a lift pass collection service that are provided whatever the holiday types,” said Managing Director Nick Williams.
“In these economic times the “down to earth” pricing and “no hidden extras” policy has resulted in customers getting great value for money,”
he added.
Due to this success, Mountain Heaven Ltd have announced an expansion in both their catered chalet and self-catered chalet apartment holiday portfolio.
In La Rosiere, where Mountain Heaven Ltd has their premium chalet, The Penthouse, they have now added an extra three catered chalets to their programme. These are aimed at small groups of between 8 to 10 people and are all constructed by the same builder who developed The Penthouse. In addition in La Rosiere a selection of large high quality self-catered chalet apartments have been added to the offering.
In La Plagne the selection of self-catered apartments has been enhanced with another four very high quality and large apartments that each have 4 bedrooms which are located in the centre of the village of La Plagne Montalbert. In addition, to cope with the increased demand for self-catered accommodation, other smaller on piste chalet apartments have been added to the portfolio in the resort.
Further self-catered apartments have been added to the portfolio including brand new ones in Les Sept Laux, (“A true “credit crunch” resort where you can get very high quality accommodation at realistic prices” said Mr Williams).
In the company’s fourth resort, Grimentz in Switzerland, the portfolio of self-catered new chalet apartments has been increased after a 100% fill rate in last season
