Apparently Segways come with winter tires.

Austria’s twinned ski resorts of Zell am See and Kaprun have decided to embrace electric transportation with new electric car charging stations and Segway rentals.

The resorts already offer guests and locals public service stations to recharge electric vehicles, and the twin towns are planning to offer emission-free personal transportation rentals to guests. Rentals include electric bicycles, scooters, and Segways. The resorts is also promoting car free days.

The local lift company as well as the resort businesses and hotels have all made efforts in recent years to keep up with the eco-friendly trend, as have many Alpine ski resorts. Efforts made in Zell am See and Kaprun include protecting the sensitive ecosystem of the glacier on Kitzsteinhorn as well as reducing waste, water usage, and energy consumption.
