Livigno is known as the "Little Tibet" of Italy.

Hoping to attract more vacationers during the early and late parts of the ski season, Livigno ski resort has announced it will offer free lift passes to those looking for an extended stay before Christmas or after April 17th.

By extended stay, the resort means at least four nights in a hotel or seven nights in apartment with participating accommodation providers. The free ski pass offer also has limited availability.

This may be a great chance to see the “Little Tibet” of Italy. Livigno is 1816m (5956ft) above sea level, with 115 km of well-prepared slopes and modern ski lifts. Their snow-making system guarantees coverage of at least 80% of their slopes. The resort also has one of the biggest snow parks in Europe at the Ski Area Mottolino. They also have the new Snowpark at the Skiarea Carosello 3000.

Livigno’s traditional Italian food and a genuine atmosphere surrounded by a breathtaking alpine landscape make it an interesting destination for couples and families.

Prices start from €150 (£133) per person for four nights in a hotel bed and breakfast. Self-catering apartments and hotel accommodation options are also available.
