St Anton in the Austrian Alps is preparing for a full range of events for the final weeks of the ski season.

The Intersport Spring Festival from the 9th to the 11th of April is now an integral part of St. Anton am Arlberg’s event calendar. During the event, some of Austria’s leading snowsport athletes will be displaying their expertise in a range of competitions.

The festival includes Austrian Ski Instructors, Demo-Team Championships, the Arlberg X-Ride Challenge and the Giant Slalom competition.

This season the event is being staged on the resort’s Rendl ski slopes and it can be accessed via the new central gondola lift.

For après-ski, “chilling” on Rendl-Beach is particularly popular. There are comfy sofas, tables and standing lamps nestled in the snow on the edge of the piste providing a welcoming if slightly surreal lounge atmosphere.

Kumm Oba is building a giant lounge there in the snow for the Festival. Whoever finds a spot there will have best views of the world class performances and front row seats for the live bands, including the ski instructor band SupermäÄäx.

After all the fun on the slopes, the party goes on in the Winterlounge in the snow, at the Sundowner-Partys on Rendl-Beach and at the Intersport Spring Festival Party on Saturday evening.
