An abundance of snow made it easy for a team of snow sculptors to sculpt a giant mammoth in the snow at Silvapark, the ski area above the village of Galtür in Tirol, Austria.
A team of five people took four days to create the beast, and ‘Mammut’ is an impressive six metres (20 feet) high and 12m (40 feet) long.
The project commemorates the resort’s support from the Swiss-based Mammut company which makes and sells snow, outdoor sports clothing and equipment.
The mammoth is expected to still be on the slopes after Galtür’s season ends in late April.
