In less than two months, the Ski Club of Great Britain’s snow report iPhone app has been downloaded over 50,000 times.
Voted in PC Pro magazine’s ‘Top 100’ apps, the free application featuries live snow report data from 250 resorts including snow depths, on and off piste conditions as well as webcams and the latest ski and snowboarding news, has been a huge hit with wintersports enthusiasts.
“Our quick and easy to use app has proven itself by these figures,” said Ski Club’s New Media Manager Abi Lee. “The snow is still fantastic out in the Alps and users can download the app for free to check conditions over their Easter holidays, right up until the end of the season.”
This latest development from the Ski Club complements their existing snow report portfolio which includes daily snow reports, mountain weather forecasts and webcams for over 250 resorts. A snow overview which summarises worldwide conditions and a weekly video podcast – the Snowcast – gives opinion and summaries of where the snow is.
