The 2007 Lindauer Queenstown Winter Festival, one of the biggest winter party events in New Zealand is lined up for the week of June 22nd to July 1st.
This year’s theme is ‘big’ with events ranging from the ‘Big Night Out’ styled on Auckland’s Big Day Out, to the ‘SkiDealsNZ.com Big Air’ that attracts some of the best boarders and skiers in the business, the programme is full of events guaranteeing fun in New Zealand’s winter capital, according to Festival Manager Sally Feinerman.
“The Big Night Out on June 24 will seriously be Queenstown’s concert of the year, with Ladi 6, Pluto, Kora and Shihad all wrapped up in a one off, one night only event,” she said. “It’s the only show Shihad will be performing on this trip to New Zealand before they head to the UK.
“A definite highlight will be the SkiDealsNZ.com Big Air on June 30th at Coronet Peak, where competitors are renowned for pulling some really, really big tricks.”
Festival favourites and some new events are back on the ten-day calendar, which is a mix of ticketed and free activities, with tickets on sale now.
