666.78% more visitors come to SkiRebel Magazine in March

With the end of March, SportsRebel Media Ventures (SMV) Ltd. is happy to announce that it broke an all time record for monthly unique visitors with a whopping 666.78 % to SkiRebel Magazine in March 2008 to the same period a year earlier. This staggering growth was led with incredible traffic increases of more than 2000 % on March 28th alone.

SkiRebel Magazine Celebrates 1st Year…

Since the relaunch of the popular skirebel.com portal in February 2007, SkiRebel Magazine has managed to attract more than 22,658 unique visitors with some 67,000 page impressions.

Since migrating the PDF only online ski magazine to a more user friendly online format, magazine management is ecstatic with the initial results. So far 2008, SportsRebel Media Ventures (SMV) Ltd., the main shareholder of the online property is forecasting tripling online visits. So far the first week forecast is blowing that forecast out of the water.

A Flurry of visitors come to SkiRebel Magazine

Since the launch of the popular skirebel.com portal in February, SkiRebel Magazine has managed to increase traffic by 48% over the past five months. What started off as a pretty normal month in terms of visits and page views, quickly emerged into the busiest month with some days experiencing traffic increases by more than 80%.

‘We are really pleased to see these beneficial results so early on and specially during an off-peak season. This is really looking good for the upcoming 2007-2008 ski season when we will be releasing a number of new site features,’ said SkiRebel Magazine editor, Mike Styles.

Two Feet Of Snow in Israel and Lebanon

The five ski areas in Lebanon and Mount Hermon ski resort in Israel saw snowfalls of up to 70cm (28 inches) over last weekend greatly improving conditions.

Menachem Baruch, Mt Hermon’s manager, told local media that 45cm of snow had fallen on the lower section of the mountain, while some 70cm had accumulated at the top.

Lebanon’s ski areas received a good fall of snow with Faraya reporting 60cm (two feet) of snow on upper slopes. It opened for the season a week before the snowfall but received complaints from skiers who damaged themselves or equipment on rocks as the ski runs were not properly covered. Businesses in the area are concerned that there has been a dramatic downturn in business this season which they put down to last year’s conflict in the country and ongoing political unrest deterring the foreign visitors they rely on.

Tour Operator Offers Ski Holidays in Lebanon

The UK’s largest ski tour operator, Crystal, is offering ski packages to Lebanon this winter. The tours to Lebanon’s largest ski area of Faraya begin on Sunday 17th December and cost from £719 per week, half board, in the five star Intercontinental Mountain resort.
