666.78% more visitors come to SkiRebel Magazine in March

With the end of March, SportsRebel Media Ventures (SMV) Ltd. is happy to announce that it broke an all time record for monthly unique visitors with a whopping 666.78 % to SkiRebel Magazine in March 2008 to the same period a year earlier. This staggering growth was led with incredible traffic increases of more than 2000 % on March 28th alone.

SkiRebel Magazine Celebrates 1st Year…

Since the relaunch of the popular skirebel.com portal in February 2007, SkiRebel Magazine has managed to attract more than 22,658 unique visitors with some 67,000 page impressions.

Since migrating the PDF only online ski magazine to a more user friendly online format, magazine management is ecstatic with the initial results. So far 2008, SportsRebel Media Ventures (SMV) Ltd., the main shareholder of the online property is forecasting tripling online visits. So far the first week forecast is blowing that forecast out of the water.

Young sportsman killed on ski holiday
The 21-year-old champion swimmer from Sydney’s northern beaches had just finished his university degree and was fulfilling a long-held dream of a working holiday on Canada’s skifields. But a fateful decision to do “one more run” on the slopes of the Big White Ski Resort in British Columbia, in Canada’s west, cost him his life on the weekend.

2 Rescued Snowboarders Dug Caves in NM
Two snowboarders lost in the mountains were rescued by helicopter Tuesday after they endured three frigid nights holed up in snow caves that are credited with saving their lives. Adam Putnam, 36, an emergency room physician and an experienced winter camper, and his fiancee, Rachel Fehl, 30, a nurse, suffered some cold toes and mild dehydration but were otherwise OK.

Ski resorts enjoy fresh powder
Epic, big and welcomed are words being bounced around ski resorts from Tahoe to Mammoth to Big Bear when talking about the snowfall from the recent storm. The buzz is fresh powder and an increased snow base, and conditions described by some as the best in three years.

Macedonia’s Ski Resort Packed for the Holidays

More than 10,000 holidaymakers, many from abroad, swarmed to one of the biggest Macedonian ski resorts, Popova Sapka, during the New Year holidays. Hotel and guesthouse accommodation was fully booked, leaving little room for late arrivals in search of somewhere to stay.
