The long planned indoor snow centre at Dubailand will aim to recycle energy and be carbon neutral the company behind the project, the 32Group, have told local media. Solar panels built in top the top of the giant structure will generate energy to be used in the complex.

Söll in the Skiwelt, Austria will double its existing night skiing area this winter.
The existing three kilometre (two mile) long floodlighting system that covers the valley run in Söll is being extended to cover three more runs in Hochsöll.
The Salvenmoos - Keat - and Hexen6er runs will be floodlit for the first time next winter.

SnowMagic® has been selected by Stone Mountain Park in Atlanta, Georgia to develop and construct a 200 ton snowmaking system for its new Coca-Cola Snow Mountain attraction, a 400’ (130m) tubing hill and 32,000 square foot snowplay area that will be open from November 10, 2007 through to January 28, 2008.

Snow isn’t the only thing that is falling in record amounts this year in Mt Ruapehu resort in New Zealand. On August 25th the resort reported more than 12,500 skier visits shattering the same day record that was set in 2005 with 10,900 skier visits.
