Hundreds of Santa Clauses will grace the slopes at Sunday River in Maine on Sunday, December 2nd as part of Santa Weekend.
The 8th annual event serves as a fundraiser for the local town of Bethel’s Rotary Club’s Christmas toy drive. Last year’s event drew 170 Santa’s, donating $1,700 to the drive.
Bethel Rotary Club is a member of Rotary International, which provides humanitarian service and strives to build goodwill and peace in the world. Bethel Rotary Club is one of over 32,000 clubs located around the globe.
In order to participate, guests must wear head-to-toe Santa costumes. In exchange for a minimum donation to charity of $10 and participation in a photo shoot, the Santa’s will receive free skiing and riding for that day plus two additional early-season lift tickets.
Pre-registration is required for this event, which is limited to 250 jolly old characters. Costume requirements and registration instructions are available at www.sundayriver.com
