Families looking to get a break from rising inflation, fuel prices, and airline costs may just be in for a shock when they come up to buy ski lift tickets. Deer Valley in Utah has announced its Christmas Holiday lift ticket will cost $602 dollars this year for children aged 13 to 17 and for adults. This is believed to be the first time a lift ticket has cost more than $600. The ticket is $371 for a child aged 4 to 12.
Deer Valley has been voted the most popular resort in the US Ski Magazine readers for the past two years and to help maintain its reputation for the highest quality experience, the resort limits the maximum number of people on the slopes. This can lead to all tickets being sold out at peak times like Christmas and New Year.
The seven day ticket valid from December 26th to New Years day inclusive guarantees you’ll be able to get on the slopes. Single day tickets are available priced at $86 subject to availability. Multi-day tickets other than the seven day pass are not available.
During the Christmas Holiday, Deer Valley Resort may reach capacity. A lift ticket is not guaranteed. Half-day lift tickets will be sold on space-available basis only,”
explained a resort statement.
Outside the Christmas week Deer Valley will charge $444 for a six day adult price. $371 for a child aged 4 to 13.
