Heavy snow at Squaw Valley USA (www.squaw.com) in California this season, has taken the resort past the 500 inches ( 43 feet), accumulation mark for the fourth time in the past 13 years this year. With nearly two months left in the season, the west coast resort is offering a $ 199 spring season pass from April 11th until the close. When Folgefonn opens up for the summer season on May 14th, it’s likely to unseat Mount Baker in Washington State as the world record holder for the deepest amount of natural snow. Mount Baker which has recorded more than  706 cm (23.5 feet) snowfall base this season, is going to fall to Folgefonn which has recorded up to 10 metres (34.6 metres) of snow this year. On average baker receives about 750 inches (19.1 metres) of snow each winter – officially more than any other ski area on the planet.
