    Colorado ski areas open, more plan early start to season

    Despite economic gloom laden media reports in the US, mother nature has still ensured temperatures low enough for snowmaking and snowfall in Colorado where two of the world’s highest ski areas, Arapahoe Basin and Loveland, followed a number of European resorts and opened for winter 08-09 last week.

    Latest global warming report gloomy for Colorado snowsports

    A new report has found mountainous temperatures in the Colorado Rockies are rising faster and quicker as a whole than rest of the United States. While this is not an uncommon finding with other mountainous regions around the world it is alarming.
