Brits first at Norwegian Resort

Three Brits have decided to look East rather than West for a country with which to form a special relationship and have opted for the Norwegian ski resort of Kvitfjell.
As a reward for their dedication to bringing excellence to the services offered by Kvitfjell the three were allowed to be the very first on the slopes when the resort opened last month.
First in the resort eight years ago was Englishman Scott Hammond who runs Kvitfjell Ski Shop – a unique concept of retail, rentals and bar all in one, and also works in the ski school.
Scott was joined last season by Scotsman Greig McColm, who also works in Kvitfjell’s ski shops and by fellow Londoner Morgan Lewis who is in charge of quality control at resort’s ski school.
On the slopes it’s easy to see why the three men fell for Kvitfjell. The centre was host to the men’s downhill and Super G contests for the 1994 Lillehammer Winter Olympics. There are also wonderful views of the Gudbrandsdal Valley.
But clearly the other wonderful views in Kvitfjell caused all three men to fall for local Gudbrandsdal Valley girls, so they are likely to be staying in the area for a good while longer.
