Worldwide ski resorts directory launched on Ski Rebel Magazine

After a couple of months of hard work, we are pleased to launch today one of the most comprehensive collections of international ski resorts on the web. Our users will find all of the essential information, address, telephone, website addresses, resort history, resort skiing maps an image viewer and a Google map so you can plot your way there.

To complement the information we have also launched the International ski reports, a compilation of 2 100 international snow reports updated hourly. Ski Rebel first quarter traffic up 205% over last year

The impact of the 2010 Winter Olympics was one of the key drivers behind the web property recording an astonishing 205% increase in visitation and 175 % increase in page views to the site.

But the Olympics are not the sole factors. More people have visited the site this winter because Ski Rebel Magazine is now a household name with web users and has continued to record increases in the mid 60 % range over the past few months.

‘We are very happy with our position of strength and we are more pleased that so many people made this possible time and time again,’ said Frederick Wallace, Managing publisher of the online magazine.

Ski Rebel Magazine has launched snow and weather reports for skiers and will soon be launching a vacation platform so that weekend goers to search out the best deal going. A new Iphone App will also be launched later this fall.

The website cannot release official numbers because of confidentiality agreements, however it suffice to say that annual records have been shattered so far.

24h de Tremblant smashes fundraising record as SkiRebel team crosses finish line

The 24 heures de Tremblant race concluded at noon Sunday and an astonishing $1,510,912 were raised for charity by its participants, beating the previous record by $500,000.

Over 1800 racers in 233 teams sped down the course through the night to compete for most kilometers traveled or best lap times. At the same time, racers and onlookers enjoyed performances by Ariane Moffatt, Boom Desjardins, Jonas, Izia, DJ Champion, Stefie Shock and Yann Perreau.

24h de Tremblant takes off as SkiRebel team hits the slopes

The 24h de Tremblant charity relay race event began at noon today as over 200 teams send their first participant rushing through the village, skis over their shoulders.

The SkiRebel.com team, which has raised over $1300 for the event’s childrens’ charities, send team member Erik Holody on the first shift. As of 11pm, the team was  of teams in their division in terms of distance covered. The six-member team will take two-hour shifts through the night until the race ends at noon Sunday at the Quebec ski resort. Live results are here.

SkiRebel team has raised over $1000 for charity days before 24h de Tremblant

SkiRebel.com is sponsoring a team for the 24h de Tremblant charity relay race.

After weeks of spreading the word, the SkiRebel.com team has surpassed it’s fundraising goal for this weekend’s 24h de Tremblant charity relay race.

As of this afternoon, the team has raised a total of $1,129 for the event’s children’s charities, and each team member has surpassed the individual fundraising minimum of $150. Anyone can visit the team web page to offer a contribution, learn about the team or follow their progress. Information about the charities is also available on the event’s website.

SkiRebel.com team to participate at 24h de Tremblant

Ski Rebel Magazine will be visible at this year's Tremblant charity relay race.

It’s official, Ski Rebel magazine will be sponsoring a ski team for the first time ever at Mont Tremblant’s annual 24 Heures de Tremblant charity relay race.

The ninth staging of the relay race takes place between Friday December 11th and Sunday the 13th. The famous Quebec resort’s season launching event is also the biggest fundraiser in Canada’s ski industry and annually attracts more than 1000 racers who ski or board through the night to raise funds for needy children.

Ski Rebel’s six-member relay team will be competing in the event, racing for 24 hours straight from noon Saturday until noon Sunday. They’ll be visible with the SkiRebel flag and SkiRebel stickers on their helmets.

October ends with a spectacular 190% increase in visitation for Ski Magazine

An incredible month of October capped off with a Halloween treat for Ski Rebel Magazine. Visitation to the ski portal broke an all time record with a radical increase of more than 190% compared to the same period in 2008.

It’s just another great chapter in our story just as the season is getting underway in the northern hemisphere. We’re particularly thrilled to see such a high increase in the number of visits. It’s a tangible sign that we are on the right track,’’ said Frederick Wallace, President and Managing Editor of Ski Rebel Magazine.
Skirebel.com pages views have experienced a spectacular growth with more than 200% more content being referenced. These numbers are consistent with a high growth cycle that began in the spring. So far the web site has surpassed its objectives by 62% for the year ending in January.
A number of exciting new features are going to be launched this fall and we are on track to continue the base of our online expansion of web properties.
October’s growth was fueled by the following top online stories:
