German ski maker Volkl announced that Austrian Olympic gold medalist Andrea Fischbacher and three more of the World Cup’s most promising up-and-coming racers have agreed to make the move to Volkl skis.
Fischbacher, who previously raced on Atomic skis, grabbed Olympic gold in the 2010 Vancouver super G and has also earned two World Cup victories and a bronze medal at the 2009 World Championships.
“I did intensive tests while looking for the best equipment for my skiing style,” said Fischbacher. “When I tried the equipment from Volkl, it just clicked from the first moment I felt super fast on the snow. Everything about skiing Volkl makes a terrific impression: professional and yet like family. The best conditions to give my career yet another boost,”

U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) today (Dec. 12) announced that Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer, Andrew Judelson will leave his post after 18 months on the job.
“In the past 18 months our organization has made great strides in establishing more productive revenue centers to support our athletic programs,” said USSA President Bill Marolt. “This week, though, I regret to announce that Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer Andrew Judelson has accepted a senior position with another company and will be leaving the USSA.”
Judelson came to the USSA after serving as chief marketing officer for the Sports Illustrated Group, following eight years with the National Hockey League, where he rose to senior vice president of corporate sales and marketing. He also worked closely with the USSA while a manager of corporate sponsorships and events for Sprint in the mid '90s.
The USSA has already begun the search for his replacement.
“In his tenure with the USSA, Andrew has done a great job in raising the level of our entire management and staff in this area,” said Marolt.
