Now that the southern hemisphere ski season is on coming into its last weeks, one is always lead to wonder when will the next hill to open. But somewhere around the world there is a resort open. The impact of the 2010 Winter Olympics was one of the key drivers behind the web property recording an astonishing 205% increase in visitation and 175 % increase in page views to the site.

But the Olympics are not the sole factors. More people have visited the site this winter because Ski Rebel Magazine is now a household name with web users and has continued to record increases in the mid 60 % range over the past few months.

‘We are very happy with our position of strength and we are more pleased that so many people made this possible time and time again,’ said Frederick Wallace, Managing publisher of the online magazine.

Ski Rebel Magazine has launched snow and weather reports for skiers and will soon be launching a vacation platform so that weekend goers to search out the best deal going. A new Iphone App will also be launched later this fall.

The website cannot release official numbers because of confidentiality agreements, however it suffice to say that annual records have been shattered so far.

Ski Rebel magazine increases visitation by more than 575%

Never in the history of Ski Rebel Magazine has the online media property recorded such a significant online increase. A 575% increase in visitation has propelled the site to historic new heights.

Ski Rebel Magazine is celebrating its third anniversary as a web publication today.
Looking back at the decision we made back then we are stoked at the number of visitors that we continue to attract on a daily basis. The last three months have been and continue to be simply some of the biggest months we have ever recorded. We know that there has been hard work and time invested in the past to ensure that we now continue to enjoy this hard growth.

Since launching our new version of web 2.0 this past year let’s give you some specific highlights:

- Visits are up +70 % year over year.
- Visitation since September has been growing at an average compounded monthly rate of 165%
- Visitation since launching the website component has grown 270%      

All of this is thanks to a dedicated design team at Sextans, and programmers that help us achieve our team.
We’d also like to thank the people who helped us by contributing to the ongoing success of the site including the arrival of our editor Alex Leduc who has been working with us along the way.
We are working to bring enhancements to the website and will continue to do so in subtle ways over the next few weeks and months.
