Bulgaria dry slope as seen on the base of Bansko.

What’s believed to be the biggest summer dry slope area in Eastern Europe has been built in Bansko, Bulgaria and will be officially inaugurated this spring.

The new slope, 100m long and 30m wide, thus covering a 3000 sqm area, has been created by Skitrax World (www.skitrax.eu), the only manufacturer in Germany of plastic ski matting.

Along with tourists, the slope is being used by regional ski clubs who can drive up to the slope location or use the gondola.

In addition to the new slope, a 100m long tubing track with three curves is tied together using wood structures to form the curves. The facility will be used from May to September and then stored away until the following spring.
