Ski Rossendale is 12 miles (19km) north of Manchester.
One of the UK’s leading artificial surface slope centres, Ski Rossendale in Lancashire, looks likely to be sold after the recommendation was made by hired consultants.
The local city council employed KKP Consultants to look at the best way forward for the loss-making facility. The council had already identified the need to spend £10 million (€11.2m) on the facility to upgrade it, but a study made by the consultants said the centres future was being impacted by the recently opened Chill Factore indoor snow facility in Manchester.
